John Boyega is a British-Nigerian actor best known for portraying the lead role in the 2011 science fiction film Attack the Block.[1]
In September 2011, HBO announced that Boyega has been cast in the Spike Lee/Doug Ellin/Mike Tyson Boxing drama pilot, Da Brick, which is loosely based on Tyson's life. The plot will focus around Donnie (Boyega), who is released from a juvenile detention centre on his 18th birthday and begins to examine what it means to be a man. The pilot has been scripted by John Ridley.[2]
